Diatome Posted June 20, 2008 That was a pretty well stocked piece but it all looks pretty much like that. I got from a LFS here in Gainesville, Ocean Exotics. The NC 12 rock photo, this one and the one with the corals, sponges and oyster were three of four rocks I got to fill in my tanks. My NC 12 is in my kids room and I got the small rock (that's like a 1 pound rock) that has red grape, sponges and multiple colors of coraline to fill in when I used a piece from that tank to go with the three bigger rocks I got for my 60. The one not pictured is covered with macro (hallimeda, grape and suction cup - my tang eats the new growth), sponges and feather dusters. You could get this kind of stuff from sealifeinc.net or one of the other Florida live rock places like gulf-view. A lot of the others, like TBS are denser though. I bought it in the LFS just so I could pick through it, as I had an established tank. I liked the oysters, brittle stars and hermits. I didn't take the coweries or crabs hanging on. Half the crabs were bad guys anyway. My kids loved the hermit the size of a baseball. Their own touch tank. Let him stay at the store as well. The rock still in the tank had huge tube sponges and one had a beautiful brain on it. I had to kill 4 mojanos and one crab but that was it. It ships in water so no die-off. The zoas were in the $5 bargain bin at the same LFS. Most are bright yellow but a couple are orange centered. Quote Link to comment
