Nemastoma

Whatever it is its sweet!

Looks like nemastoma. I wish I had some of that... Be careful about it's growth: it is not at all harmful but can shade surrounding corals if not trimmed.

Wow some of those pictures show huge colonies! Mine is only about 1/4" across the entire colony. Thanks for letting me know what it is - I'll keep an eye on its growth

That was about as crisp as I could get it. I think my camera had trouble focusing on it becasue it's partyly see-thru and it's only about 1/4" across.

Yeah, nice algae, but not that great of a picture of it. Like bluesky said, I'd try and get a more focused, less grainy photo if possible.

Ya I agree Fade2White12. It's not the best shot, but it's really hard to get my camera to focus on this algae for some reason. I think it has to do with the fact that it's partly see-thru... also it being tiny doesn't help either. I've got about a dozen "decent" shots of it from all different angles and levels of zoom. They all look about the same in terms of quality. This just happens to be the one I picked to enter...
