14GNANO Posted February 14, 2008 I no this is stupid to ask...but whats a float valve?? Quote Link to comment
dekand Posted February 14, 2008 its what is used in an auto-top off system (water evaporates daily leaving salt behind so it has to be topped off with fresh water) and the float valve kicks the pump on when the water level reaches a certain low point, if it breaks the pump will just keep pumping all the fresh water it has available into the tank and flood it if it has enough to... sorry to hear about that man thats tough, it look(ed) amazing, best of luck getting it back to that!
