I think it may be some sort of sea hare, but I'm not sure.

Nudibranch...Chromodoris bullocki if I'm not mistaken...color variations are common

some lfs carry them. they are very specific on their diet, so unless you have a lot of what it can eat, don't buy it.

I'm sorry but I fail to see how this Nudibranch qualifies as part of a cleanup crew (photo contest theme). This particular nudibranch's diet is very specific to one or two(if that) species of sponge and unless your tank is infested with that species of sponge than this does not count as clean-up crew.

The lfs or wherever you bought it from probably told you it will eat algae which is completely false and it will most likely starve to death.

^ agreed. Great colors, and amazing little creatures but no long term life in a captive reef.
