One of my favorites - fully extended Bird's Nest

I love those, once my MH arrives thats the first sps I'm getting!

That is so pretty!! do you need to have MH's to keep one of those? or are the 50/50 lights ok? I know MH's are ideal.

I would suggest MH with decent flow. Maybe T5HO's would be ok but I don't know.

Have you noticed any growth so far or is it a brand new addition to your tank?

I am pretty sure the white ends are growth; I have only had it about 3 weeks.

I am pretty sure it is a green pocillipora according to DFS - The Pocillopora Cauliflower Coral is a SPS coral that is also referred to as Bird's Nest, Lace, Cluster, or Brush Coral.

Let me know if I am wrong; I would rather know than sound like a dunce!

I think in a while you'll find out, but it looks more like seriatopora(birdsnest) to me. A thicker branch species. Possibly S. Hystrix. A nice one too at that.
