No not bare, just boring. You need to break up the rock so you can have a better aquascape.

Break up the rocks? Well, the thing is, this is my first SW. I'm not sure if it'll go well so I didn't spend any time aquascaping.

The other thing is I couldn't find any actual live rock.the LFS just has base rock for sale. And they don't even supply live sand. They use crushed coral(which u guys say will raise pH).

I just thought I'd start real simple but as things go well, I'll move things about and try to find live sand(although i'm not suppose to add sand after the cylce, right?)

Anyway, checked the water for NO2 and added a yellow tale damsel.

Well, thanks for the comments. Better than no comments. At least i'll know what to do next. I know you're gonna bash me with this one too, but I'm using a canister filter filled with crushed live rock. And yes, I can't even find any chaeto either.

Thanks Mr.Feesh.

Got myself a coral and a clown. The damsel did bother the clown for the first hour. But later, they just got along fine.

Some of you guys can be jerks you should give him support and ideas not just criticism. I think you have a good start try to read some posts in beginner area of the forums and maybe check out some online reef stores if your LFS is that lacking. Keep it up :)

Ok so everyone on this forum loves to smash tanks...? I think the tank itself looks nice, but spend some time looking around the gallery to see what others have done with there aquascaping. it definately needs work, but at least you know it's up and running. Less symetry, more coral!

would look 10x better if that rock on top was removed. Looks like your 4 year old son found a rock in the backyard and just placed it in the tank.
