However this was taken with an old sony cybershot 5 megapixel ($349) inside of a sony water housing ($250) with a Sea And Sea YS15 ($300) strobe. It's all about the strobe. If you don't have one, you can have the best camera in the world and still get the crappiest photo ever. I've since upgraded to some nicer equipment but this old setup is great for a budget and light equipment load. Quote Link to comment

I've since upgraded to some nicer equipment but this old setup is great for a budget and light equipment load. o man I dont snorkel nearly enough to get good equipment...and i've never gone Scuba Diving before...so I guess Ill stick to my cheap throw away cameras when I do snorkel, and just cherish the memories btw...whats it like when u go down and ur right next to a shark? SecondBreath Posted March 14, 2007 Anything that's your size or bigger next to you in the water is a bit freaky. I was on safari before this dive and being next to an elephant out in the open was crazy but being next to a huge shark or whale can be a bit overwelming in my experience. Really gives you an appreciation of your insignifigance in the greater scheme of things! =) Quote Link to comment
