Gerber77 Posted February 18, 2007 The catalina islands can be seen from my house and these fish are so cool when we go snorkling. Quote Link to comment
Eole00 Posted February 18, 2007 isnt that a cold water species? i dont think they do too well in reef temp tanks. we keep them at the aquarium in water that is ~ 55 degrees Quote Link to comment
cube head Posted February 18, 2007 Yes, they are a cooler water fish, yet I have had him for a year now and, I keep both of my reef tanks at 77 and, he is happy as can be, as are all of my habs. I am going on 20 years in keeping salt tanks now and, have found as long as you have nice clean water you can pull off just about any thing! Gerber you are lucky wish I still lived in Calif........ Gerber77 Posted March 23, 2007 Went surfing today and they were about 8 today in the shallows by the rocks. They were at about 6-8 feet deep. Weird usually we find them in deeper water. Beautiful fish Quote Link to comment
