Sdera63 Posted May 27, 2006 Regretfully, one of them passed away... Not sure why at all. Water parameters seemed fine. I think it may have been a result of a temperature spike in the tank, when the air conditioning on the house busted. I got home and it was 83f in there. Next day he was a gonner... The other one is doing fine, temp is back down to 77-79. Plan to get a companion for the one remaining tomorrow. Quote Link to comment

TheNorthernLight Posted June 26, 2006 yeah, I don't think it was the temp that actually killed it. I have two that are both in a tank that regularly hits 82, and they are fine. What actually probably killed it, was when the temperature spiked it allowed a pre-existing problem to really take over, and probably killed the fish's immune system. So it died quickly after that.
