Blue Betta

Well.. Here he is, in all his glory. The poor guy spent more than a year in a tiny bowl. His Pelvic fins don't seem to ever do much, and his pectoral fins have what I believe is pretty bad fin rot.

Poor guy.. He has been in the 10 gallon for almost 2 weeks now, and he seems so much happier. He swims around a lot and is really interested in exploring. He loves to eat and is very interactive. I'm hoping he looks more healthy in the future.. If not, well, at least he has a better home. :(

i had a betta in a one gallon tank for about a year and then put him my a 10 gallon almost 2 months ago. He loves the space and uses all of it too.I really don't understand why people think it's ok to keep them in plastic cups... Good luck with your betta!

I hate how everyone thinks they are mean or aggressive fish. We have a betta in our 29 gallon community tank. He is extremely active, never agressive, and downright beautiful compared to most bowl bettas. We need to start a Betta Awareness Group or something.

I had a betta in a 10 gallon community tank and actually found that the betta was not aggressive at all but rather the others loved to nip at it's long flowing tail. So the fighting fish was actually the victim.

I dunno, falcon11, mine ate one too many neon tetras back when he was in my freshwater community. I think it depends on the individual fish.
