The Evilbug has too many eyes to not be evil

This is the Evil snake bug from my tank, before he decided to awol from the drop, he is fast in the water, but his little legs don't function well untill he is realy dry and they are free of the surface tension of the water surrounding him. I didn't get a picture of him dry because he gains speed again, and climbs everything. Could this be the bug that started all of humanity, The first animal to creep from the brine to shore and take a gasp of air, or is it the first sign of an alien invasion. This thing has some wicked jaws, and has no problem with getting out of the water and moving around. And, It looked at me, and i could swear it was sizing me up for dinner. Only an inch long, this thing could probably take me. I'm worried that i should kill it before it kills me. Or perhapse I should see if it has been discovered yet by the bug people, they probably already have a name for it even if they haven't seen it.
