close-up of colt-coral bearing [?] nudi

This pic shows its head, and closeup of the umbelievable colt-coral-like decoration - i still cant believe i watched this thing munch through half of my colt coral for so many months!

 

BTW its approx 2" long so no baby; i dont recollect it growing as the colt coral was shrinking so it was hard to tell

That is an amazing story, given how closely we all stare at our tanks. It's not quite as interesting, but I did stare at a "gray stripe on the rock" for some weeks before I realized it was actually the opening of a bivalve...

 

Do you think the colt-like surface of the nudi is part of it or part of the coral "borrowed" for camoflage?
