Mushroom?

This just started growing on the rock. Is this a mushroom? It seems to be fleshy, I have had the tank set up or 7 months and just now it appeared so any ideas?

Is it hard to the touch or soft or is it leather-like. Looks more like calcerous algae.

I would say more leatherish and soft. I thought calcerous algae was only pink and red and stuff? Is this a different kind then or no?
