One of my first fish, didn't know what the heck to do with him. Ended up returning him near the beach I found him at.

lol, not like I care. At least I can laugh about it, and the fish didn't get hurt. At least I took the time to learn about him, in the end I knew I couldn't keep him and I took him back to where I found him. One mistake I don't regret because in the end I learned a lot! not only about FOWLR tanks but reefs as well.

(btw this is the pic I uploaded to show the "How Did You Discover Nano Reef Keeping?" thread)

nanogallon: "you are a idiot!"... now say that out loud. Hopefully you can see that your charge is grammatically incorrect.

lol wow you found that thing? great find, good thing you returned it to the sea! a hilarious story :) we all learn from our mistakes

Um, why did you return it to the sea? You could have taken it to the LFS for a healthy credit!

If he found it in the ocean good thing he returned it to the ocean, Why return it to a lfs, so they can get him sick, sell it and then die?

I live in Oahu, Hawaii. Triggers like that are everwhere, if you have a rod and reel or a net you can catch them by the dozen. I found this one in a rather large tide pool by makapu'u light house (well below it down a rocky cliff heh.) I don't buy my fish, I find them. It's one of the benefits of my location, besides I don't think there would be a chance in heck that my lfs would take him.

Bluebastion: Look in the mirror and repeat out loud " i need to get a life " I wasnt talking about you anyways? This guy put a trigger in a uncycled 3 gallon nano tank. its going to die and he's showing it off.. SO i agreed with a fellow member and said what i said, so what! Who are you, the freaking dont say anything mean patrol. Please dont tell on mommy..

nanogallon - I am pretty sure that, that fish will not die. He did an excellent job of taking care of it. Read above to find out how he did it. Oh I'll just spoil it. He put it back into the sea where it came from. Triggers like that endure longer than that trips in plastic baggies. I believe it will grow to full size and thrive and reproduce given the care that was given to it. Yeah the release part I mean.

NanoGallon, did you even ask about it or read anything, For all you seem know about the tank he could have put the trigger in and taken the picture then taken it out. If I took a picture of livestock in the bag from the LFS would you call me an idiot? Pakrat, I'm glad you could tell that something was wrong and returned that fellow, and then got started in nanoreefing.

nanogallon: "....put a trigger in a uncycled...." Lets have a grammatical lesson, shall we? We use an "a" when a word (noun, most likely) starts with a consonant sound... We use "an" before words beginning with a vowel sound or with an unpronounced h. As for the "don't say anything mean patrol" (and yes there is an apostrophe in the word don't because it's a contraction) it's really just called "having nice manners." Most people, I would hope, like to have and present that.

He does seem to be hiding. Even in the main part of the picture. Maybe its magic! I wonder how much those cost!!

It's a joke people...

"I'm just starting off, and I just got my tank less then a week ago, but it's coming along and I have a lot to thank NR and all the great people here for it."

From his post today in "How Did You Discover Nano Reef Keeping?"

If you go back and dig up some of his earlier posts you'll see he's a little more knowledgeable than that.
