baller588
I have a 24 gallon nano cube and decided that i want a 100 gallon reef tank with fish and inverts. I have no yet bought everything seeing that i am on a budget. Here's a list of the stuff i am buying and was wondering if any of it i can add later to my tank and just use the initial components to get it going for awhile. 100 gal tank 13 bags live sand wet/dry filter Protein skimmer 692 watt metal halide light 10 gal refugium tank 2 pumps canister filter 18 watt uv light 150 gal salt mix 100 lbs live rock 2 heaters (300 watts) Link to comment
henry22
I woud, get a bigger fuge, scrap the wet/drys and canister, get a nice protein skimmer, and not the LS. Live sand is kinda a waste of money, for nanos its ok, but for a large tank, just get reg sand and then get one bag of live sand or just a small baggie from the LFS will do. It will become live soon enough. 692 watts is kinda a random number, how does it add up. I would add a nice controller to that, and a closed loop. Link to comment
Monkeyrobb
You're going to want a sump. If you can plumb everything to a different room or the basement, you'll be much happier. No noise, no mess. Robb Link to comment
