Anybody Have a Newtek Power Center?

I swear, this should be a simple thing, but I just can't figure it out.

 

I have a Newtek power center with no instructions and I'm trying to get it to work. I swear, I have tried every combination I can think of and it's still not turning things on and off on its own.

 

I have the clock set and the timer programmed to turn on at 7 AM and off at 7 PM on days 1-7. The daytime lights are plugged into the yellow outlets and the nighttime lights are in the blue outlets (though I have tried them reversed). In order to turn on the lights this morning I had to set the mode to "off". I figured "auto" would make the timer function, but no dice. Just can't seem to get it right....

 

I think I may be an idiot when it comes to power centers. Seriously though, if anyone has one of these things and can help me out I'd really appreciate it.
