darkfishy2690
Hi, I am new to this web site and i just ghave to say this site is awesome! I want to start a 10 gallon tank and i almost have everything i need to start. My question is that the water that is preferalby used is either distilled which i am to lazy to buy or RO water which is too expensive for me. What i do have is this Sears smartwater filter thing. Could I just use that? Thyanks! Link to comment
idog
Ro/DI water is the best. Any tap water filter that isn't a RO/DI unit will not be sufficient for the quatities you will need, and performance is sketchy at best. I wouldn't trust it to get out all ions and metals. I buy RO water from the supermarket for less than a buck a gallon. Shop around and you will find it. Link to comment
