Reeftank_addict
In the Cheato that I have in my Filter lastweek I found this LONG slimy green plant(algea) now it's growing on the outlets of my powerhead and the outlet of the filter. It will get 3 to 4 inches long. I'm worried that it will over take everything. I haven't noticed it on anything else and all my levels are fine. Any ideas would be great -Brian Link to comment
halfpint
Sounds like hair algae. You might want to check your phosphates and silicates. A picture would help. If it's VERY small strands, like thinner than human hair, then It's most likely hair algae. Link to comment
Nuhtty
When in doubt, take it out. True for our tanks and for questionable women. Link to comment
Reeftank_addict
Yes it is very thin...I've been taking it out as much as I can. Link to comment
halfpint
So, it's growing rapidly? If so, get some phosphate remover filter pads. They work great. Link to comment
