reefphreak
I have this red tube like grass with blue tips growing from a few places in my tank on my l/r. So far just one of them has blue tips. I cannot find them anywhere on this forum and i know that I can't be the only one to have this. Sorry the pic isn't the greatest.. Link to comment
halberstram
yeah, i think i had something like that in my tank a few years ago, although its been a while, and i couldn't really tell from your pic. mine looked like little tubey things with a semi-iridescent blue sheen on it. i thought it was a cool algae, and i hoped it would grow, but it never really did. i'm wondering whether it was a tunicate, and whether i should've had it in a lower flow area.... anyway... look for pics of tunicates, maybe that'll help? sjpresley
A good pic or detailed description would help, it is unclear at this point if it is a plant or animal, sounds like it may be a type of tube worm that doesn't have large fans (of which there are many) or an odd small gregarious tunicate or a sponge.
