rhinox99
I just finished curing my LR which was placed in a large plastic tub with powerheads, skimmer, and heater but no lighting. I just transferred all the rocks to my aquarium and after leaving the lights (2x 55w PC) on for about 4 hrs, everything is slowly turning white!! All the purple and red corraline seem to be the most affected and I think I might've done something wrong. Is this normal? What can I do to correct this (if it is a problem)? Thanks Link to comment
reefguru21
The coraline is a little upset with you right now =( This is bleaching out it commonly happens when you cure live rock. The rock should be introduced to a small amount of blue light at first and after about a week slowly increase white light in to the mix this will keep the coraline from turning white on you. Don't panic coraline almost always comes back it is extremly hardy. GOOD LUCK =) Link to comment
