artooman
Aquapod 24, 70W MH Sunpod, stock pump, Fission Skimmer (sucks... probably replace it with a Remora), two powerheads, and a Reefkeeper 2. Located in Hillsborough North Carolina. I've got plans to add an external overflow and sump. The stand is custom made for cabinet space and the future sump. It's about 6 days old, and I just added some live rock today! Hey Egplant! Where did you get that stand? You mentioned it was custom in your blog. Is that something we can order? Your setup with the controller and stand looks great. Link to comment
Ganomish
Apod 24, Open Top, 150W Sunpod, 2 - MJ900s. 20 lbs sand and about 30 lbs rock. Bags of Rubble and Floss on top. (Plus carbon for now.) Not planning on a skimmer. Adding Hydor Flo and 1/2" Loc-Line tubing to split and run behind rocks. Needed to pull of stock attachment to tank output and added a small piece of tubing (7/8" OD, 5/8" ID) to "adapt" to the 1/2" ball socket flexi tubing. Link to comment
Eggplant!
I am wondering about your light setup...when you get the 70W HQI, you don't get the hood, correct? But is the tank covered with something to prevent evaporation/fish acrobatics? Yes, the tank comes with a full glass cover. I'm not currently using it, and evaporation isn't bad, but I've not yet added any fish. I'm not worried about evaporation. I'd rather have the gas exchange. I do wonder if I'll have problems with jumpers though. Link to comment

I am also running completely open top. I may make a custom top, that is open in the center and covers the outer edge. That may help with jumpers yet still allow air exchange. Cheers Link to comment

I wish I had space for other varieties/colors of shrooms but I got the LR from a buddy when he re-did his 150G and they had already taken over. I've got my eye on some pulsing xenias to add a little more movement to the tank and then I think I'm done stocking...I hope. Link to comment
