er1c_the_reefer
this may sound n00b, but the venturi on my seio isn't working. i have it mounted with the venturi knob turned out and attached to the airline thats out of water, but for some reason, i don't get any bubbles. and water backs into the airline from the seio. right now, i've resorted to attach the airline to a pump. any idea? is there a max depth on the seio? travisurfer
are you running a venturi straight into your tank? as long as you have surface agitation you dont need it for gas exchange. Link to comment
er1c_the_reefer
it's not for gas exchange; it's for a DIY skimmer. i'll post pictures if it works. anyone? Link to comment
pico1
how would that outflow work for a skimmer? this should be interesting Link to comment
er1c_the_reefer
4" PVC pipe, hole drilled in the side just big enough to fit the seio. pretty simple... but i just need the get the venturi going, otherwise i might as well be running an airstone. i was thinking of pushing the seio all the way in and using it as a recirculating pump instead. flow would come via another hole drilled into the pipe, fed via off shoot from over flow. opinions?
