clippo Posted April 26, 2006 Share Posted April 26, 2006 if you can work out how many times the filter turns over the volume of the tank, that should give you an idea. I'd hazard a guess that it won't be more than 5 'tank volumes' per hour. To get the best out of live rock and to avoid dead spots, I'd say you need at least 10 tank volumes per hour turnover. For sps systems, you need much more. You can work our what size powerhead you need from this. Link to comment
