anyone know if it is safe to frag these, and if so how? I read somewhere that the colonies grow to a maximum size and then quit, if i frag it, will the piece start growing again? thanks

There might be other ways, but try setting it next to or slightly on top of another rock so the tissue is making contact and leave it there for a while. If the colony is healthy they can stick and start to spread in a matter of a few weeks. (just like a mat)
