reefer769
i have checked my water parameters, and the nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia came out to 0, the ph is 8.2, the salinity is about 1.022, and the temp is 78-80. Should i perform a water change yet? Link to comment
Smada77
How long has it been cycling? Did you use cured or uncured rock? Live sand vs. dead sand? Link to comment
hyoctane
Why do you feel the need for a water change ? Your cycle is complete and you have no bio load... I'd wait until you get your clean up crew... Link to comment
reefer769
i just added 3 turbo snails and 4 blue legs yesterday. this is about the 3rd week maybe 4th? and i was just wondering becuase i have a lot of diatoms on the sand and rock, and i think its making my water cloudy, so i thought a water change might help. Mr. Fosi
... so i thought a water change might help. It can't hurt. Do it if you want to. Link to comment
Daemonfly
A reading of zero across the board is a bit odd. At the end of any cycle, you'd normally see nitrates, even with a mild cycle. What test kits are you using, and how old are they? Link to comment
reefer769
the tests didnt come out to be exactly 0, but they were all pretty close. Link to comment

If the NH3 and NO2 tests were zero and NO3 wasn't, it'd be time for a water change. EDIT: I'm not sure how the admins will like your signature. Link to comment
