Hi. I just got a little Yellow gorgonian coral from a family friend.. I know this might sounds weird but, Do i have to feed this coral?

What does it eat?

How often?

Thanks,

I'd say yes,if its yellow w/ white polyps then yes you have to feed it.I'm not too sure on the right food,as i've never bothered to try a non-photo gorg. Maybe cyclopeze (sp) or small sized oyster eggs?

Yup its a non-photo gorg,as fer feeding it i'd wait maybe a few days untill its settled in and opening its polyps.Maybe someone thats acually kept one thriving for a long time can chime in for the best food combo.

Well this is old but I thought I would ask. How is it doing? Did you find a food that it took up?

I've a yellow gorgonia and it likes to eat filter feeding invert food, Mysis Shrimp, micro-plankton a few times per week, when open.
