c est ma
Not all limpets have holes. Go to this page and click on the "thumbnail" option for each taxon to see some pics of various limpet shells. (Nowhere near all species are pictured, however). http://www.gastropods.com/Taxon_pages/Supe...LOTTIOIDEA.html See also these pages: http://www.gastropods.com/Taxon_pages/Supe...ACELLOIDEA.html http://www.gastropods.com/Taxon_pages/Supe...ACELLOIDEA.html --Diane Link to comment

c est ma
Well, there's some general info about limpets in this article: http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-06/rs/index.php I'm sure you can find a lot more by searching this (nano-reef) and other sites. If you are unable to identify your species (which is likely) you may have to end up relying on your own observations of its behavior (eating preferences) and your tank "philosophy"--i.e., are you a "better safe than sorry" type or a "wait and see, give it the benefit of the doubt" type? --Diane Link to comment
