travisurfer
I know the quad is 18" long. If mounted high enough in a canopy, would it be good for this size tank? Link to comment
Travis
For shrooms, polyps, and lethers. If it is in a canopy, it dosn't have to be too high. Just be sure to put a fan blowing cool air in and be sure to have a splash guard. Good luck. Link to comment
travisurfer
would there be any shadows? Link to comment
Travis
Maybe, just add a 65w retro with it. Link to comment
ClowningAround
are you sure it is 18"? i think it is 20", cause i have a 5.5g and that is 16" and it hangs over 2" on each side. or do you mean the bulb it self? Link to comment

travisurfer
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ did you use the original mounting legs? is the light in any danger of falling into the water? Link to comment
wheelspin
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^did you use the original mounting legs? is the light in any danger of falling into the water? works fine... Sadly it's not quite wide enough to fit on the outside as it was made to but will still fit well on the inside lip and is in no danger of falling unless it is physically hit by somebody...
