annamarie421
Would an AC50 (formerly AC200) power filter be large enough to make a (worthwhile) HOB fuge on a 20G aquarium? I'd love to have a sump fuge at some point, but I'm not ready to think about all the plumbing at this point... Thanks in advance!! Anna Link to comment
Daemonfly
It's pretty small, and wouldn't be too easy to get lighting over it for a full chaeto fuge. With these smaller ones, I generally just run them full of live rock rubble. Link to comment

I am setting up a 10 gallon for a mantis and I have an ac50. Was debating best way to set it up. Thanks Link to comment
proraptor
When I ran an AC fuge I still kept a small piece of spunch for mechanical filtration and it worked good...Just clean it every week or your params will swing Link to comment
