I made a base for the rics to attach to with coral epoxy. I plan on splitting them again and making a yuma garden of these colorful rics in the corner of my tank. What do you think?

Wow you have a beautiful tank. I'm going to be starting a 10 with a false wall on one of the sides, should be a good winter break project. I'm sure ill have plenty of questions once I get started. Again beautiful tank.

Not to crash your thread or anything, but I'm thinking of making a false back wall for my 10 gallon tank.

I don't plan on building a canopy for it since I have a Finnex fixture that will fit over the top. In the future, I might have a HOB with the intake sitting inside the false wall, but not sure about that yet.

5 1/2 Gallon = 16x8x10" LWH

10 Leader = 20x10x12" LWH

I see that your false wall width is 2.5". If I go with the same wall width, I'd have 7.5" of width out of the whole tank left. I'm afraid it'll look "off" with only a depth of 7.5" while the length of the tank is a whole 20" long. Do you think it'll look OK?

It'll probably look fine. Just aqua-scape it with a stacked wall of rock. Also, you'll need to use thicker acylic than what I used.

Your measurements dont add up pardner, 15 11'16 is too long. Ijust got a piece cut to that length and it doesnt fit. Measure twice cut once, live it love it LEARN IT.

actually thats not the side thats wrong its your 9 5/8's thats messed up. it wont get in the tank. Not sure where you got those numbers.

I figured a lot of you might want to get an idea of my current equipment setup. I took some pictures of how my tanks are viewed in the room and how the back and top views of the tanks look. Right now the fuge is filled with chaeto and caulerpa (hitch-hiker, but never goes sexual on me). There's a lot of bristles, amphipods, copepods, and even micro stars in there. The sand bed is about 2.5" in the fuge and is effective combined with algae and lr rubble for nitrate export. No matter how much I feed, I never observe elevated nitrates. The last chamber has a mini-jet 606 opened up about 3/4 of it's flow adjuster. The light in the back of the fuge is a 13watt 7000k power compact. As you can see in the pics, behind the tanks is cord city and I try to keep it organized as I can. The new viper halide is amazing! I have the ballast remote mounted on the floor near the dresser. The only problem with the tank lately is that corraline is creeping up all around my glass too fast.

 How come there are a couple hundred views each time I post, but no one says anything? I could go for a little feedback once and a while.
