Evyllchyld
I went to my fathers friends house today and fell in love with a clown hosting an bubble tip anemone and I was just wondering who has anenome in there nano tanks. And I'm looking at getting 2 true percs for my nano tank and am wondering if any what kind of anemone they would host. Any help would be great. Link to comment
Iveman
anemones are not the easiest to keep. whats worse is when they die it contaminates your system and it can get ugly. not only that but with percs theres no guarantee that they will take to the host. id say start here and get as much out of this as possible, it will give you clown/host compatability, care, etc http://www.wetwebmedia.com/marine/inverts/...oa/anemones.htm Link to comment
ClowningAround
Clowns will also host in a bunch of other stuff as wel, l i have seen many threads on here where they host in coral and stuff that almost resemble anemones, check these out http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?...3&hl=clown+host http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?...3&hl=clown+host http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?...0&hl=clown+host Link to comment
rickjg
You are just asking to get flamed big time for that question, but the answer is no, with the possible exception of a rose anemone. Flame-on Link to comment

travisurfer
yes, torches almost look exactly like nems if you cant see their skeletons ive heard green hairy shrooms make great hosts as well; they're more like a capet anemone sry, double post Link to comment
horseflesh
I decided to try keeping a rose BTA. So far, so good... it's only been 2 weeks though. We'll see what the next months bring. Link to comment
reefgaurd
I have a torch coral that looks exactly like an anemone. But my maroon clown hosted itself in my pulsing xenia. lol. Go figure... Link to comment
Monkeyrobb
My little clown is obsessed with my frogspawn. He spends all night rubbing around in it. So far the coral doesn't seem to mind. Robb Link to comment
Formerly MikeR.
My LFS has a rose in a stock nano 12, 2 years looks great and has split about 5 times, its all stock too...so i guess it depends on the specimen, but it is possible Link to comment
timsit
I actually have a beautiful bubbletip anemone but my perc hosts my hairy shrooms instead - go figure. Incidently, you can keep an anemone in a nano (12 gal min IMO) if you know exactly what you're doing. It isn't really difficult if you stay on top of things, however, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone but an experienced reefer. Link to comment
