wooz29
Just want to make sure: I need to test for ph, amonia, nitrates & nitrites. Is that all I need or do I need KH, copper, calcium etc etc?? Link to comment
Falco
At minimum test for PH, Amonia, Nitrate, Nitrite, alakalinity and salinity (specific Gravity) regularly. I use the 5-in-1 test strips. For the others...it never hurts to test. Copper kills inverts and corals. Calcium is good for feather dusters, and strenghtening the exo-skeletons of inverts. Other aquarists will test for strontium and iodine as well. It gets spendy, but it never hurts to be sure. Link to comment
