balto Posted January 30, 2006 Share Posted January 30, 2006 I have these spots on the skeleton of a candy cane that are brownish in color, but they dont move and they have projections that on some are almost 3/4s of an inch long. Sometimes some mucous comes out of the tubes. Any help would be great... Link to comment

Sometimes some mucous comes out of the tubes. Any help would be great... Looks like a vermetid snail. They are sessile and spit out mucous to catch food. They are harmless as far as I know.
