Dustmop336
Thanks, do you think i should get rid of the aptasia during the cycle? Link to comment
icenine
The first pic is a Digitate hydroid. Nothing to worry about for the most part, they can reproduce rapidly in some systems but are fairly easy to remove manually if that happens. The second pic is aptasia as stated above. Do a search on removal and control methods before you do anything with it..... removal can create a bigger probem if not done properly. Link to comment

c est ma
What is a hydroid worm? Hydroid=cnidarian. Worm=polychaete (usually). First pic sure looks like harmless worm (terebellid?) to me. --Diane Link to comment
I'm the same guy as reefer9391
Why are apitaisa so bad I forget I just get rid of mine when I see some sprout. Link to comment
icenine
Why are apitaisa so bad I forget I just get rid of mine when I see some sprout. They will sting other animals and reproduce rapidly. I also wondered what a "hydroid worm" was, c est ma.....lol ....but I'm sticking with Digitate hydroid as my guess for pic #1. Link to comment
Joelle
Why are apitaisa so bad I forget I just get rid of mine when I see some sprout. They're like dandelions taking over a pretty lawn (i.e. weeds!) Link to comment
