WhiteRat
Of all the freaky things... I've got what seems to be a clamshelled snail crawling up the glass of my tank. He's right where I can't position the camera to get good shots of him but I'm hoping that will change tomorrow. It looks like someone took a coquina shell or similar clamshell, and stuck it across a snail's back. Anyone know more about these? Ratty Ratty's Reef Link to comment
sjpresley
Hmmm....an image would help...but it sounds like it may be a Nerita sp. If it is about the size of a dime (or smaller), moves about quite abit and spends much time high in the tank (many are intertidal snails). I'll bet it is some kind on nerite. There are also some very large (1/2" or more) Stomatella, but they move very quickly and I can't imagine it would stay still so that you couldn't take a picture. Link to comment
