tamuvet2005
I seem to remember seeing a thread about how someone modded the angle of their hydor flo to 90 degrees since they didn't like the spray at the top of the tank. I am thinking of modding my JBJ12DX for better flow. I have thought of either using the Coralife wavemaker with an additional pump, of using the hydor flo with the MJ900. Any opinions of which is better? Anyone tried the hydro flo angle mod? Thanks, Tamuvet2005 Link to comment
stoney waters
I was able to lower the level of the Hydor by making a swing arm out of two cpvc 90 deg elbows. It stopped the splashing on the surface. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=59497 Link to comment
Eric Lundgren
Without the surface agitation there is nothing left to oxygentate hte tank? Eric Link to comment
stoney waters
There will still be agitation. Just reduced splashing and salt creep on the light shield. Link to comment
tamuvet2005
I have an SRS overflow, which seems to do quite nicely at surface skimming and oxygenation from turbulence it creates. Stoney, I think that your thread was the one that I remember seeing before. Thanks! Link to comment
