Sausage
I'd like to make a small refugium out of clear acrylic. I'm using a 1 foot cube main tank, and the refugium will be about half that size. What's a good way to bond acrylic so it doesn't leak? I think there's some kind of liquid acid that I can use, but will it degrade over time? I don't want the refugium to explode one fine day. Silicone sealant doesn't seem to adhere very well. Link to comment
Sausage
Oh, it'll be something like lunchbucket's refugium as seen at http://www.nano-reefs.com Link to comment
NanoReefer53
there's this adhesive you can get at home depot called weld-on. They moleculy (sp?) bond the acrylic together. Link to comment
jstewart0
there is weld on 2 and 3. I used the 3, it is a little thicker and takes a little longer to set up but works great. I had to get mine from a plastic supplier (yellow pages under plastics). Link to comment
