Tankers Posted May 28, 2002 Share Posted May 28, 2002 My cleaner shrimp I got last week shed skin while I was at work today. Should I leave the skin in tank? And how often should this happen? It looks cool it came off in one piece. From a distance it looked like a dead shrimp until I seen the real cleaner moving in back. Link to comment

karlas Posted May 29, 2002 Share Posted May 29, 2002 i leave them in the tank also. this will happen every couple weeks. it makes a free meal to the critters on the lr pods, worms, etc. it should dissapear in a couple of days mine is usually gone in about 2 days or so. your shrimp may hide because it takes time for its new shell to harden but once it gets like that your shrimp will be out and about again.
