WhiteRat
Finally got some pictures; Not a good shot, but... Shows the spine (it's less blurry IRL and you can see vertebrae, pos-def) and the ...Stomach? Yolk? Here you can see the silhouette of the head (upper left) and what look to be gills: So what do people think? Baby eel? Some other kind of tiny fish? It lies on its side on the bottom mostly, sometimes it wiggles down into the gravel with just its head poking up (no good pics of head yet but it seems to have jaws that it spreads with transparent cheeks between them). I seem to have three of them. : Ratty Link to comment
Xavier
Did you say it'll sit there with it's mouth open in the current?.. does it have some protrusions on it's nose almost like flat, circular, antennae? Link to comment
WhiteRat
Uhm. It does sit there with its mouth in the current but it is far too tiny for me to tell anything about its head. Those pics were taken on maximum magnification and its head was away from me. For all I know it has a tiny clown-nose... Was there something you thought it might be? Ratty Link to comment
Xavier
I saw an eel at the LFS that sat in the current with it's mouth open and had antennae stalks with flat circularish ends... not sure what species it was Link to comment
