MattGecko
Just recived my CustomSeaLife PC15232-Retrofit (2=32watt) with dusk & dawn controls. Does anyone use dusk & dawn lighting? If so, for how long? This light is awsome, I cant wait to get LR/LS in my Mini-Bow. Matt Link to comment
Sahin
If you mean leaving the actinics on for a hour ealier and hour later, then, yes thats what I do. It kind of prepares the tank for the full blast of the white lights. Maybe helpful in some way. Link to comment
SLOreefer
i do this also. im pretty sure most people do it. this prevents your corals and livestock from being shocked from the sudden burst of lighting Link to comment
NanoReefer53
I use a metal halide system with flourescent actinic so it gives a little big of dawn/dask effect. The MH bulb takes ~15 minutes to give out it's full strength. Link to comment
Paul G
Something else I've seen that looks interesting http://www.shopsolution.nl/shop/home.asp?s...&deptid=memolux Anybody got one ? Link to comment
Son Of Skyline
I also use the dawn/dusk effect with my actinics. I've run my tank without it before for about 5 months and found that my fish and corals don't seem to care if there's a dawn/dusk effect. I only do it now because I can (I wasn't using actinics before) and it looks kinda cool. Link to comment
eferna
That memolux thing looks interesting. Too bad they dont have a 120 V version. I guess you can only use it in Europe and Asia. There is probably something out here in the Americas that mimic that. Link to comment
