Puffer1
Just wanted to post a pic of my new 10 gallon nano. It's a week old today:) I used aged water, filter system off of my 20L and some of the corals from it (took it down). I added a little clown goby and I think it turned out cute:) Thanks for taking time to look..... Puffer1 Link to comment
EagleEyes
woah! thats really cool! what lighting system do you have? i have a dual compact flourescent (80w) with a lunar light on it. I could probly get away with something of that nature. Link to comment
Puffer1
Thanks for the replies:) I've got an old CSL 15 inch hood with 64 watts of PC lighting.......32 actinic03 and 32 10K. I was afraid it might be too much so covered half of each bulb with foil; cutting the total watts down to 32. So far, so good......everything seems happy. Do you think the 64 would be too much? I'm also using an Emperor 280 for filtration.....seems just right for flow:) Puffer1 Link to comment
Styxnpicks
let the light FREE!!!! you can never have too much light Link to comment
Puffer1
The only reason I covered it was because I've had trouble in the past with too much light on my shrooms.....they sort of shrivel up and don't fully expand. Don't you think 6.4 watts per gallon might be too much for them? If not, I'll uncover them:) Puffer1 Link to comment
Styxnpicks
I have 40 shrooms in my 10 under a 96w powerquad, they love my tank, I also keep the water dirty for them, like 10 nitrates dirty, I have some in my 40 and they shrivled up because the water has no nitrates Link to comment
Puffer1
Hmmm......well, I guess I can always cover them up again if they rebell.......I'm sure the ricordia, kenya tree and candycanes would like the higher light. Thanks for the suggestion:) Puffer1 Link to comment
Puffer1
Thanks, Rob:) I have it sitting on my computer desk and I have to say it really keeps me company. The little clown goby has lots of personality which surprises me........he's going to be one of my favs.......... Puffer1 Link to comment

Puffer1
I'll try and post more often......I've got a 55 gallon reef with T-5 lighting and a 29 gallon clownfish/anemone tank too. I'm waiting for a new lighting system to arrive on Friday for the anemones. It's a Coralife Advanced Series clamp-on MH. Hope it will be nice:) Puffer1 Link to comment
