cindyandjosh Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 So I was looking for an intresting cheap way to make a wave application in my nano cube 12. I replaced the stock pump with a rip 600 pump I then put the stock put behind the grate in the first chamber and poitioned the nozzle towards the grate so when i turn it on it pushes out water. It does on the other hand make a lot of little bubbles. My question is would this do more harm then good, or should I put it on a timmer or should i invest in a wave making device?
sNEIRBO Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 There's a thread here on nano-reef's Nano Cube section concerning the Hydor Flo modification. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...light=hydor+flo Check that out. Quick, easy, simple way to simulate wave motion.
MadTownMax Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 I glued-on a small extension of pipe to the intake of my pump in the first chamber - the overflow causes small bubbles to get pulled down, as long as your pipe goes deeper than these bubbles, you won't have any problems with bubbles coming out of your powerhead shooting out of the grate
cindyandjosh Posted August 9, 2005 Author Posted August 9, 2005 are the bubbles that much of a concern will they cause stress for the fishes
