taekwondodo
Well, that makes two down... Last night my RBTA (Bubbles, the Second) decided to go for a walk and when I went to bed he was near the top of the tank about 2-3" from the overflow. I didn't give it a thought as the overflow is only 1/4" routed slots - he'd never get stuck there... Tonight I'm looking at the tank and its a little cloudy - hmmm, why is that? Hmmm. Can't find bubbles. Get the flashlight and look in the side behind the rocks. Nope. Oh well - probibly hiding real well - he'll be back out tomrorrow... Then, as I got ready to do my weekly water change, I looked in the sump/"refuge" and saw a small piece of something red... like a little peice of cocktail shrimp - I haven't fed shrimp in weeks??? OMFrG - could that be bubbles? Look around the fuge - there's another small piece a snail is feeding on??? BUUUBBBBLLLEESSSSSS!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!! All that was left of the RBTA was a couple pieces of his foot (looking amazingly like cocktail shrimp) no bigger than a pea. That and a thousand pieces of micro-snot floating around the tank (everyone else was having a field day - never seen Einstein (my brain) filter feeding during the day before)). I would have never thought that the BTA would have got caught in the skimmer (it's cover so there's no going over the top - just through the slits). Geez. Now - another RBTA? OR how about that purple tipped anenome I saw at Petco (not a place I normally shop, but they wanted less than $20 for this thing and it was beautiful)... - Jeff Link to comment
