JAYJT78 Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Hi, First of all hello, i have been keeing fresh water for around 6 years now and im seriously thinking about setting up a nano in a spare 70 litre (18 gallon US, 15 imp gallon. Been doing alot of research, but one point is not clear. Just a quick question, when it comes to water volume for lighting, power heads ect... Do you take into account the volume of LR and LS when calculating what equipment you need? Thanks in advance. Jay
Pili Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Most of the time you just go by the tank size. The tank size just determains basic sizes of equipment but you can go from there above or below the average equipment (higer light, flow, etc.) For example, the hight of a tank will more affect the lighting than the water voulme.
JAYJT78 Posted August 6, 2005 Author Posted August 6, 2005 Thank Pili, maybe you can take a look at the new post i have just posted too! Thanks again.
Caesar777 Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Amount of lighting and flow needed also varies according to what types of corals or fish you want to keep.
