soundgeek
I want to set up a 10 gal nano for my office but can not decide on lighting. I have already decided to go bb but the toss up is 70w MH or 150w MH. I want to be able to keep what ever I am in the mood for. Link to comment
soundgeek
I would really like to keep some lps, and sps and maybe a clam. I figured 70w would be enough with good water quality but i can get a 150w for the same price. I am worried that the 150 would be to bright for lower lighting stuff that I also have in my larger tank. Any info would be appreciated. Link to comment
shaggydoo541
I say go with the 150. Especially if you get a pendant. That way if you want to keep some lower light corals you can raise the pendant up. That way you would have enough light to keep whatever and can just adjust the pendant height. Link to comment
Fishfreak218
I agree go with the 150 it is prob. a steal and if you ever want to upgrade to a bigger tank it may come in handy.....besides you can always raise it somehow and if it is still to bright some people buy screening from Home Depot and put it ontop of the tank and if they want to dim it alot then they add more then one layer...i have never used this method and dont know how it will work or anything but it was suggested on this site...go with 150 watt Link to comment
