I originally kept two yellow-tailed with one three-spot damsel in a 29 and the only aggression was between the two yellow-tailed and the three-spot was left alone....they were all put in the tank at the same time, and were all about the same size at the time. Hope this helps?

I've heard that they can't mix.... Be careful, as even adding the same species can end in aggression.

Agreed! especially in a nano

in this case you should probably just stick w/ the one.
