SunsetApisto
is it possible to hang an aquafuge on the side of a 20H? Cause I've got a bak pak and an AC so I really have no room on the back. Link to comment
lgreen
yikes. that would be a tight fit. i leaning towards no. seems like if you where going to add an aquafuge though that you would just ditch the AC Link to comment
SunsetApisto
thanks, thats kinda what I figured but I wanted a second opinion. Well, do you know of any fuge I could attach that would be visible (I like marine planted tanks), or does that entail building my own? (which I don't know how to do) Link to comment

The 12" Aquafuge is actually 13 1/4" wide. The 20H is 12" wide. It tank would be not wide enough by over an inch. Bob Link to comment
lgreen
really, i dont see why you need the AC on there. It would be a lot easier to buy the aqua fuge, and then hang a small power filter on the side. Link to comment
SunsetApisto
yea I ditched the ac. My skimmer collects enough crap. Anyway, we have established that the aquafuge will not fit. The motive of this post was that I want to hang the refugium facing my bed so I can see it at night when the reef lights are out. I do not want my refugium to be tucked away where nobody can see it. I went to the DIY forum and got some good ideas on building my own (I forgot who it was but theres someone building a ten inch fuge to go on his 12" side, so I'll be following that post closely) Thanks for your input guys! SunsetApisto
most of us use mech filters to polish the water. (correct me if I'm wrong?) Link to comment
