tanakiye
does anyone know how a 13watt pc bulb compares to a NO bulb.....what i mean is a 13 watt PC bulb is much brighter that a 13watt NO bulb, so how many NO watts does a 13watt PC put out? wow, i'm confusing myself.... thanks! Physh1
Wattage is simply a term used to define how much power it uses to have the bulb fire up. A bulb uses 13w to run. PC bulbs are brighter than NO bulbs by atleast 3x. The way you know this is by looking at the lumen output of the bulb (how much light it emits). For example: 25w NO bulbs makes 50 lumens... 28w PC bulbs makes 150 lumens... Even though the 2 bulbs use roughly the same wattage to run the PC uses that more efficiently and emits 3x more light. Input = Watts Output = Lumens Cameron Link to comment
gobies
Y'know, I did some research on lumens output of some CF bulbs, and did NOT find that the lumen output was 3x that of equivalent NO bulbs. Where are you finding this data, and on which bulbs?? Link to comment
