Zack
Yesterday I bought 30 pounds of live rock for my 29 gallon tank. Here's a picture of the tank (the live rock has changed slightly since I first put it in there). I paid $100 for 30 pounds from a local guy. The rock is already cured. Great deal! Link to comment
Zack
Today I noticed about 5 small purple mushroom corals beginning to open up! They are pretty shriveled though. I hope they grow! Link to comment
Guest nicoj122
score! very nice hitchikers... make sure your params are in spec so you dont lose them. i would also keep an eye on or remove that macroalgae. Link to comment
Zack
the rock is cured, ph is at 8.1, nitrites 0, The ammonia sensor doesn't change color, and temp is at 80. Salinity around 1.023 (floating hydrometer is hard to read). Link to comment

ACBlinky
Pretty mushrooms, lucky you! I posted yesterday about corals coming 'back from the dead' - a friend gave me a little lumpy two-headed thing, looks a lot like two raisins stuck together, told me to stick this 'frag' in my tank. I figured it was pretty much dead, but wedged it into a hole in the rock and waited to see what happened. Yesterday it started to open (thought it might be my imagination). this morning, one 'raisin' opened up almost fully (looks like it's a red zoanthid, still looks very ill). Your shrooms look a whole lot better than my little guys, I'm sure they'll recover nicely Link to comment
