freakintiger
I'm new to saltwater and new to nanos. neanderthalman turned me on to this section of the forum since I am running a 1.5l hex. My big question is what does "pico" stand for? I know nano, I found this site during a search for "nanotechnology". BTW, tommorow hopefully I will get my live rock and sand, is the cycling process really going to stink? I have the tank in my bedroom(I can move it if it gets too rank though...). Link to comment
pet_doc
Pico: a prefix meaning a factor of 10 to the minus 12th power in si units. or 0.000 000 000 001 or just really, really small. I think that a pico has to be 2.5 gallons or less, but please correct me if I am wrong? Link to comment

Pili
i think that the general definition for a pico tank is anything that you can't fit your head into:) Link to comment
robmacy
pet_doc - couldn't have said it better myself. Pico(s) are 2.5g or smaller. believe me, i've been corrected before on that one. remember, it's not the size that matters... it's what's in it! Link to comment
